Axolve was founded in 1990 to provide independent consultancy services of a high quality to clients in both the public and private sectors. Axolve is best known for its work for HM Treasury, helping to set the policy and provide guidance to central Government departments to help them obtain Best Value in their construction procurement. This work was one of the catalysts in encouraging parts of the construction industry to change from being claims conscious and adversarial to working collaboratively with its clients and its suppliers. Axolve provides consultancy services relating to the overall procurement of assets and services. We help our customers to achieve certainty of outcome in terms of functionality, quality, price and programme. In other words we help our clients to obtain value for money.
Charles Botsford, Director
Charles has an MA from Cambridge University and an MSc from Imperial College. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and a member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation.
Charles is an accredited Prince 2 Practitioner, an accredited Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner and an accredited Management of Risk Practitioner.

Charles was a member of the board of Yarlington Housing Group, an innovative, efficient and expanding Housing Association. Charles was a Director of BIW Technologies Limited (now Conject), the UK market leading provider of project collaboration extranets. Charles was also a non-executive Director of Brooks Service Group plc, a textile rental company with 1500 employees, until the management buyout funded by Alchemy.
